Art in 2011: final review

Well there is much to report this past year as far as my art is concerned. The year 2011 really was a great year for my art.

An agent named Craig from CBS Art Collections found me at the
Pollock/Krasner Award website and before long I sold a large painting to Beth Kushnick, the set designer for THE GOODWIFE!
The painting, called
Building on the Right was spotted by a friend on episode six in the law offices.
Never thought I would end up in one! Thanks to Craig, a great guy that really hustles for his artists!

I was also chosen as one of the finalists for the Texas Artist of the Year in Visual Arts.

My art work drawings were made into fabric through
Possibility of Art, Inc. and they really look great. I got some bolts of the fabric and now have to decide what to make out of them.

Completed yet another year participating in Luminaria 2011 where I had a video included that was projected on the Valero Stage. The video was called Luminated Pulse and it consisted of footage taken in Delft, Amsterdam, San Antonio,TX, and Washington, D.C.

Turning Art.com approached me about turning my art into prints for an option to buy program for new art collectors. Great Boston company and the people are so nice. Stay tuned for the link to my work when they are done completing it.

I won first place at the Core 7: Defining Ourselves exhibition in Santa Monica, CA at the
Santa Monica Art Studios up until December 17, 2011.

Had a bunch of work in the 4 person exhibition at San Antonio College, Moody Learning Center called After Hours. It was up for three months and sold some work too! The large work above is entitled System of Things II and this and another work will be in San Antonio's City Court House as part of the PASA (public art San Antonio).

Back in August, I partook in the
Blue Star Artspace Red Dot Fundraiser and sold a painting to a new collector! She just bought a house and is excited about finally having the room to show her art collection off.

That's all I can remember at this point! Stay tuned for more!
